Lydia Sack

Lydia is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist living and working in Portland, Maine. She first became interested in stuttering while in graduate school at the University of New Hampshire collaborating with a professor on the textbook Stuttering: An Integrated Approach.


Since then, she has developed a passion for working with individuals who stutter, especially school-age children, teenagers and adults. Areas of special interest include fluency/stuttering, autism spectrum disorder, speech sound disorders and social-pragmatic language. Lydia has studied American Sign Language and is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Lydia has worked in a variety of settings including public schools, early intervention, and private practice. Lydia spends her free time exploring the state of Maine, where she loves running, hiking, skiing, kayaking and playing ultimate frisbee.
